Nitte Education International Pvt. Ltd., has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Canara Bank to offer a one-year residential program through the Canara Nitte School of Banking. The program will be offered from the Mangalore and Greater Noida campuses.

Each term is of 14 weeks duration. While the first term would be concentrating on the foundation courses, the second and the third term would deal with training in specialized areas. During the fourth term, students will undergo an internship at the Canara Bank’s branches across the country.

The program will also include training in soft skills and the Bank’s technology platform, apart from subjects on General Management. A model branch is set up at the campus to create simulations of a branch environment too. Continuous assessment and Term End Examinations will be conducted and on completion, trainees would be awarded the Post Graduate Diploma in Banking & Finance by Nitte University. They would immediately thereafter begin their career as Probationary Officers at Canara Bank.
